Commercial Loan Specialist
First New York Federal Credit Union’s Lending department is quickly growing and is currently seeking a Commercial Loan Specialist.  Responsibilities include processing commercial loan requests by obtaining all necessary documentation for the completion of an application.  This will include coordinating commercial loan closings with all parties such as members, attorneys, realtors and appraisers.  The Loan Specialist will be required to secure all final documents that are necessary for commercial loan closings to include title, hazard insurance and binders.  Duties will include collecting and reviewing annual financial statements for commercial loans.  It will be expected that compliance will be adhered to with all Federal and State rules and regulations and HMDA requirements.  Cross selling opportunities should be developed to maximize member relationship.
Requirements include 2-3 years of commercial loan processing or related experience, a proficiency with MS Excel and Word, the ability to communicate clearly, handle multiple priorities and be detailed oriented.

First New York FCU is currently seeking to fill the position of Collector.  This is a full time, permanent position.  The Collector has a direct impact on the mitigation and recovery of credit union losses on delinquent, negative or charged off accounts. Daily outbound collection calls and sending collection letters is required as well as reviewing reports, handling restraining notices, levies and filing disability and life insurance claims.  Collection activities will be performed for multiple loan products utilizing various systems and methods.  The Collector will be expected to participate in all stages of the collection process to include loss mitigation, foreclosures, skip tracing, insurance claims, repossessions, charge offs, recovery, bankruptcy and collection agency liaison.  Superior verbal, written and telephone communication skills expected.  Successful negotiations for payment arrangements will require persistence and excellent customer service.
Other responsibilities include routine correspondence with members and agencies, assisting with account preparations for collection agencies, attorneys and preparing for charge offs, completing information subpoenas and restraining notices.  Duties will also include maintaining member files, records and assisting with various department processes.
It is preferred that the candidate have a 4-year degree with 2 years collection related experience or 5 years collection related experience. Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.  A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary to be successful in this position.

Network and Security Technician
First New York FCU is seeking a Network and Security Technician who will provide support of the network infrastructure and endpoints. The candidate will also provide maintenance and security certification for 100+ workstations.  Candidate should be knowledgeable in network design, operation and maintenance. Thorough knowledge of security concepts, design and risk mitigation is required. A minimum of 2-year degree in networking or equivalent experience is desired. Reports directly to the Network and Security Administrator.

Part Time Teller
First New FCU is seeking entry-level, part-time candidate for a Teller position. We offer competitive starting rates based on experience. Position includes benefits.  Schedule requires half day on Saturday.  We are looking for individuals with great communication and customer service skills. A Teller is expected to efficiently and accurately process financial transactions with minimum to no error. Duties include cross-selling products and services.  Tellers are expected to provide quality member service to credit union members. Recent background must include cash handling experience.

Human Resources Specialist
This position provides reliable, confidential support and clerical assistance in the Human Resources Department.  Directly involved with payroll and the support of benefit administration.  Assists with paperwork during hiring and termination process.  Assists employees and explains all benefit programs offered.  Must be familiar with personnel policies.  Supports the Affirmative Action plan.  Assists in compliance in all HR related matters.  Maintains proper record keeping and filing. We are looking for an individual with good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Position requires candidate to have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Previous experience in Human Resources and a business office setting required.  Payroll and benefit administration experience a definite plus.

Member Service Specialist - Call Center, Colonie
First New York FCU is seeking a candidate for a Member Service Specialist (MSS) position in our Call Center located in Colonie.  Previous financial branch experience in a credit union/bank is required. Candidate provides credit union services to members via telephone, internet, and mail. This is a full-time position for an individual with outstanding customer service, writing and communication skills. Job responsibilities would include account servicing, referring consumer and real estate loans to the Loan Sales team, cross-selling products/services to benefit the member’s needs, promoting e-banking and meeting Call Center goals. Candidate will also perform teller duties as needed to ensure an unsurpassed level of service is provided to members. Must demonstrate a highly motivated, positive, outgoing personality to meet and exceed expectations with every interaction.

Assistant Branch Manager
This is a great opportunity for a qualified candidate who will assist the Branch Manager in guiding staff in all aspects of the branch experience, including achievement of branch goals, operations, and delivery of unsurpassed, quality member service. Skills to motivate team members are expected. Candidate will be expected to ensure a smooth working relationship with other departments in the credit union. Must have ability to maximize opportunities to increase membership, refer loans and promote e-services. Must have strong leadership, sales, and communication skills.  Assists the Branch Manager in attaining all goals related to Community Outreach activities. Will be required to maintain Notary Public, NMLS designation and Signature Guarantee services. Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Previous experience in a credit union or financial institution supervisory capacity required.
