ADMINISTRATION

Administrative Assistant
First New York FCU is seeking a candidate as an Administrative Assistant for the CEO. Candidate will also assist the Marketing Department with various tasks and support the members of the Senior Management team.  Will maintain the day-to-day clerical, organizational and office needs of the CEO.  Strong communication skills are necessary.  Duties will include interaction with lobby visitors, vendors, team members, board members.  Will coordinate setup/clean up for internal events, registration for chamber events/seminars/conferences and will schedule events for the Community Room with outside groups.  Will create and maintain monthly reports as assigned and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.  Duties will include the responsibility for incoming and outgoing mail distribution. Reliable, professional and confidential support is highly expected. Strong computer and written and oral communication skills necessary. Must exhibit a desire to learn and grow professionally.  Previous experience in a business office setting required.


BRANCH

Full and Part Time Tellers
First New York FCU is seeking entry-level candidates for Teller positions. We offer competitive starting rates. Position includes benefits. Schedule requires half day on Saturday. We are looking for individuals with great communication and customer service skills. A Teller is expected to efficiently and accurately process financial transactions with minimum to no error. Duties include cross-selling products and services. Tellers are expected to provide quality member service to credit union members. Recent background must include cash handling experience.

Floating Branch Manager
This is a great career opportunity for a qualified candidate who will float to all branch locations and be responsible for guiding staff in all aspects of the branch experience, including achievement of branch goals, overseeing all aspects of daily branch operations and delivery of unsurpassed, quality member service. Must have strong leadership, sales and communication skills.  Will be required to maintain Notary Public, NMLS designation and Signature Guarantee services.  Referrals of loans to Loan Sales Team is expected.  Must assure proper control of cash handling and accountability in accordance to regulations and procedures.  Branch Manager is expected to support the branch team and manage the relationship building activities with credit union members. Branch Manager is expected to be involved in Community Outreach activities to attain credit union goals.  This will include promoting credit union membership growth with current and potential member groups and attending local community/chamber events. Minimum 5 years financial institution branch experience and a 4-year college degree or equivalent educational or work experience a must.   Three years of direct supervisory experience required.

A Member Expert demonstrates a highly motivated, positive outgoing personality to ensure an unsurpassed level of member service, meeting and exceeding expectations with every interaction in a branch environment. Maximizes every opportunity to increase membership, open new accounts, refer consumer and real estate loans as well as promote e-services to the membership in the branch. Welcomes both new and existing members as they enter the office, determines needs, directs or assists members as needed. Will assist members at the Express Teller Machines for transactions, such as withdrawals/deposits. The Member Expert will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of branch operations, credit union products and services and maintain Notary Public designation. Must be comfortable with cross-selling efforts and ability to educate and assist new and existing members. It is expected that professionalism, a positive and cooperative attitude, and excellent communication skills be demonstrated at all times. Previous credit union/bank financial branch experience expected.

Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager in our New North Greenbush Branch - Opening Soon!
The Branch Managers demonstrate a highly motivated, positive outgoing personality to ensure an unsurpassed level of member service, meeting and exceeding expectations with every interaction in a branch environment while overseeing daily operations. Maximizes every opportunity to increase membership, open new accounts, refer consumer and real estate loans as well as promote e-services to the membership in the branch. Welcomes both new and existing members as they enter the office, determines needs, directs or assists members as needed. Will assist members at the Express Interactive Teller Machines for transactions, such as withdrawals/deposits and be responsible for balancing and upkeep of teller machines. Will be active in community, chamber and marketing events for the credit union. The Branch Managers will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of branch operations, credit union products and services and maintain Notary Public and NMLS designation and provide Signature Guarantee services. Must be comfortable with cross-selling efforts and ability to educate, motivate, train and assist staff. Must ensure that all policies and procedures are followed along with compliance with government and credit union regulations. It is expected that professionalism, a positive and cooperative attitude, and excellent communication skills be demonstrated at all times. Previous credit union/bank financial branch experience expected.


COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT

Compliance Specialist
First New York Federal Credit Union is a financial institution headquartered in Colonie, NY seeking a Compliance Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the Compliance Officer in executing compliance functions such as Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control), and daily transaction monitoring.  Will be expected to identify and investigate suspicious and high risk activity to protect the credit union’s assets, file CTRs (Currency Transaction Reports) and SARs (Suspicious Activity Reports), perform consumer loan quality control procedures, and monitor applicable laws and regulations. At least 3 years of related experience and knowledge of financial service industry compliance programs.  Must possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Ability to collect and research data for analysis and maintain confidentiality of credit union records.  Strong oral and written communication skills expected.


INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

PC Technician
First New York FCU is seeking an entry level PC Technician who will setup, install, repair and maintain PC workstations and peripherals.  The candidate will also be responsible for software installs, updates and patches.  Candidate should be knowledgeable in PC and printer repair and maintenance.  Good diagnostic and problem-solving ability, along with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions and documentation expected.  Will provide first level response to trouble tickets and calls, administer end-user support and assistance, and coordinate inventory.  May assist in off-hour support and maintenance. Preferred A+ certification, able to lift at least 40 lbs. and have a clean driver’s license. 


LENDING DEPARTMENT

Consumer Loan Expert
First New York Federal Credit Union’s Lending department is growing and is currently seeking a Consumer Loan Expert. Individual must demonstrate a highly motivated, positive, outgoing personality. Emphasis will be on sales and results to ensure the maximization of lending and sales opportunities. Must exhibit the ability to think independently by effectively responding to each individual lending situation. The Loan Expert will be expected to possess a thorough knowledge of the lending process from application to closing. Responsibilities include consistently achieving loan sales goals and presenting appropriate solutions to fit lending needs while recommending products and services. The Loan Expert must become familiar with underwriting philosophies, lending decisions, approval stipulations, credit bureau reports and scores, extended warranties, GAP insurance, Credit Life and Disability insurance, loan rates and lending policies and procedures. Requirements include 2+ years of consumer lending experience and 1 year of sales experience, a proficiency with MS Excel and Word, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Loan Operations Administrator
First New York Federal Credit Union is seeking a Loan Operations Administrator to be responsible for certain areas of compliance of the lending program.  This will include quality control, HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) reporting, document retention, and collateral recording of consumer loans.  Will be responsible for loan servicing, including file maintenance, HMDA data collection, internal quality control procedures for home equity and flex mortgage loans.  Ensures all regulatory disclosures are in compliance and provided to borrowers and processes the release of mortgages.  Assists during external loan reviews and audits. Three years of related experience in loan operations/quality control environment expected.  Should have Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge. Must work in a team environment and show strong communication and problem solving skills.  Will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of loan operations, policies and procedures.


OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT

Operations Specialist - Credit Union Back-office Position
First New York FCU is seeking a responsible individual to assist in back-office financial institution processing. Position entails assuring compliance with rules and regulations related to back-office operations. The position duties focus on debit and credit cards, ACH and draft processing, domestic and international wire transfers, member payrolls, balancing of back-office cycle of daily processing and other related areas.  Will provide front-office branch and member support. Financial Institution (bank or credit union) experience in a branch or back-office operations department required.
