First New York FCU is seeking a candidate as an Administrative Assistant for the CEO. Candidate will also assist the Marketing Department with various tasks and support the members of the Senior Management team. Will maintain the day-to-day clerical, organizational and office needs of the CEO. Strong communication skills are necessary. Duties will include interaction with lobby visitors, vendors, team members, board members. Will coordinate setup/clean up for internal events, registration for chamber events/seminars/conferences and will schedule events for the Community Room with outside groups. Will create and maintain monthly reports as assigned and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Duties will include the responsibility for incoming and outgoing mail distribution. Reliable, professional and confidential support is highly expected. Strong computer and written and oral communication skills necessary. Must exhibit a desire to learn and grow professionally. Previous experience in a business office setting required.

Will assist members at the Express Interactive Teller Machines for transactions, such as withdrawals/deposits and be responsible for balancing and upkeep of teller machines. Will be active in community, chamber and marketing events for the credit union. The Branch Managers will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of branch operations, credit union products and services and maintain Notary Public and NMLS designation and provide Signature Guarantee services. Must be comfortable with cross-selling efforts and ability to educate, motivate, train and assist staff. Must ensure that all policies and procedures are followed along with compliance with government and credit union regulations. It is expected that professionalism, a positive and cooperative attitude, and excellent communication skills be demonstrated at all times. Previous credit union/bank financial branch experience expected.
First New York FCU is currently seeking to fill the position of Collector. This is a full time, permanent position that will include evening and Saturday hours. The Collector has a direct impact on the mitigation and recovery of credit union losses on delinquent, negative or charged off accounts. Daily outbound collection calls and sending collection letters is required as well as reviewing reports, handling restraining notices, levies and filing disability and life insurance claims. Collection activities will be performed for multiple loan products utilizing various systems and methods. The Collector will be expected to participate in all stages of the collection process to include loss mitigation, foreclosures, skip tracing, insurance claims, repossessions, charge offs, recovery, bankruptcy and collection agency liaison. Superior verbal, written and telephone communication skills expected. Successful negotiations for payment arrangements will require persistence and excellent customer service. Other responsibilities include routine correspondence with members and agencies, assisting with account preparations for collection agencies, attorneys and preparing for charge offs, completing information subpoenas and restraining notices. Duties will also include maintaining member files, records and assisting with various department processes. It is preferred that the candidate have a 2-year degree and must have at least 1 year of Collection related experience. Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary to be successful in this position.
First New York FCU is seeking an entry level PC Technician who will setup, install, repair and maintain PC workstations and peripherals. The candidate will also be responsible for software installs, updates and patches. Candidate should be knowledgeable in PC and printer repair and maintenance. Good diagnostic and problem-solving ability, along with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions and documentation expected. Will provide first level response to trouble tickets and calls, administer end-user support and assistance, and coordinate inventory. May assist in off-hour support and maintenance. Preferred A+ certification, able to lift at least 40 lbs. and have a clean driver’s license.
First New York FCU is seeking a candidate for a professional position in our Financial Services Program. Candidate will promote the program to credit union members. Will participate in target marketing and generating enthusiasm with credit union staff through internal promotions. Will support the Financial Services representatives in all administrative capacities to include maintaining a database, processing required paperwork, assisting with compliance and regulations, scheduling and confirming appointments and managing clients’ accounts. Will organize and promote financial services seminars. Provides reliable, confidential support. Exceptional communication skills with members, clients and representative is essential. Previous experience in a business office setting required. Knowledge and/or prior experience with a brokerage or financial services a definite plus. Position requires candidate to have the ability to learn new computer applications. Use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be required for this position.
Director of Mortgage Lending
The Director of Mortgage Lending will oversee all mortgage lending functions including origination, processing, funding, sales and quality control of conventional mortgages and home equity loans. Develops procedures and assures completion of lending processes in accordance with standards and policies. Will be expected to stay current and in compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to real estate lending. Will be responsible for the management of the mortgage sales team to ensure efficient delivery of products and services. Management and familiarity of the secondary market process and compliance with the Federal Home Loan Bank MPF program expected. A business-related Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of mortgage lending supervisory experience required. Should be knowledgeable in all laws, regulations and procedures regarding real estate lending. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
