First New York FCU is seeking a Financial Analyst to work directly with the VP/CFO. Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a system of metrics, analysis and reporting that facilitates the monitoring and analysis of products, services and profitability. Responsible for product, profitability, budgeting and forecasting analysis, and reporting. Will lead the cost analysis process by establishing methodologies, providing trends and forecasts and recommending action.Duties will include identifying process improvement opportunities and risk management data, maintaining the results of the asset/liability management forecasting program, identifying income statement budget variances, and budget preparation. Will be expected to assist the Accounting Department with daily and monthly operations and work directly with auditors. A BS or BA degree in business Administration, Accounting or Finance required with 5 years of financial institution or relevant experience. Knowledge of general ledger and accounting systems along with ability to prepare and interpret financial and statistical reports required. Must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

First New York FCU is currently seeking to fill the position of Collector. This is a full time, permanent position. The Collector has a direct impact on the mitigation and recovery of credit union losses on delinquent, negative or charged off accounts. Daily outbound collection calls and sending collection letters is required as well as reviewing reports, handling restraining notices, levies and filing disability and life insurance claims. Collection activities will be performed for multiple loan products utilizing various systems and methods. The Collector will be expected to participate in all stages of the collection process to include loss mitigation, foreclosures, skip tracing, insurance claims, repossessions, charge offs, recovery, bankruptcy and collection agency liaison. Superior verbal, written and telephone communication skills expected. Successful negotiations for payment arrangements will require persistence and excellent customer service. Other responsibilities include routine correspondence with members and agencies, assisting with account preparations for collection agencies, attorneys and preparing for charge offs, completing information subpoenas and restraining notices. Duties will also include maintaining member files, records and assisting with various department processes. It is preferred that the candidate have a 4-year degree with 2 years collection related experience or 5 years collection related experience. Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary to be successful in this position.
HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
Human Resources Coordinator
Performs duties that specifically supports and reinforces the Human Resources department while working closely with the AVP of Human Resources. Participates in supporting department goals, training, and objectives. Will be expected to be aware of all areas that human resources oversees and become proficient in certain duties. At all times will recognize the sensitive nature of all information maintained by the Human Resources department and adhere to absolute professionalism and confidentiality. Will assist to assure compliance in all areas of Human Resources. Compliance includes all reporting requirements to include benefit administration and audits for the department and credit union.
Duties will include working closely with AVP of HR and HR Supervisor to become knowledgeable in all HR areas to include payroll, benefits, new employee orientation, onboarding, recruiting, employee recognition, compliance, policy and procedures, budget process and audit procedures. Will be expected to be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, DocuSign and Imaging system. Must have excellent communication and organization skills. Human Resources or related 4 year degree and/or minimum 5 years of work related experience.

Member Service Specialist
First New York FCU is seeking a candidate for a Member Service Specialist (MSS) position in our Call Center located in Colonie. Previous financial branch experience in a credit union/bank is required. Candidate provides credit union services to members via telephone, internet, and mail. This is a full-time position for an individual with outstanding customer service, writing and communication skills. Job responsibilities would include account servicing, referring consumer and real estate loans to the Loan Sales team, cross-selling products/services to benefit the member’s needs, promoting e-banking and meeting Call Center goals. Candidate will also perform teller duties as needed to ensure an unsurpassed level of service is provided to members. Must demonstrate a highly motivated, positive, outgoing personality to meet and exceed expectations with every interaction.
First New York FCU is seeking a candidate for an IT Generalist position. The position would include supervision, training, and overseeing completion and accuracy of operational related tasks and functions. Key oversight of information security and infrastructure design and maintenance is required. A broad knowledge of information technology systems architecture and integration, to include hardware, software and security is required along with a minimum of 5 years IT management experience, a minimum of 1 professional engineer level certification (Microsoft, Cisco or Novell), a broad knowledge of current PC and network technologies, and experience in project implementation and integration required. The IT Generalist will report directly to the Chief Information Officer and work directly with the IT department team assisting when necessary to ensure a smooth daily operation of systems and processes. Excellent leadership, communication skills, organizational skills, attention to details, ability to follow written instructions and documentation, and problem-solving ability expected.
IT Risk Analyst
First New York FCU is seeking a candidate for an IT Risk Analyst position. The duties include supporting and enforcing the Cyber security objectives, providing maintenance and enhancements of information security systems and procedures and identifying gaps in the security architecture. Will be expected to remain current regarding Cyber security threats and vulnerabilities, evaluate risk in day-to-day operations, will be familiar with critical processes and resource needs in order to anticipate potential threats and failures that may impact business. Will assist in the maintenance of the credit union's Incident Response, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity policies and procedures. A broad knowledge of information technology, Cyber security, business process flow and business continuity is required along with a four-year degree in IT related curriculum with a minimum of 4 years in an IT security position and a minimum of 5 years IT infrastructure experience preferred. The IT Analyst will report directly to the IT Manager. Excellent leadership, organizational skills, attention to details, ability to follow written instructions and documentation expected.
IT Support Associate
First New York FCU is seeking an IT Support Associate responsible for design, setup, implementation and maintenance of the credit union's main and secondary computer processing systems. Must possess strong skills in XML and Java. Will be responsible for core systems document integration, assisting in system maintenance and monitoring, assisting in processing schedule design, assisting in diagnostic issues, developing and scheduling reports and queries, assisting in management of document imaging archive and retrieval system, monitoring for possible fixes or enhancements and assisting with configuration of interfaces with core systems. Must have excellent organization skills, good attention to detail and problem solving abilities. Programming skill requirements include XML, HTML, .Net, Java and Adobe forms design along with Microsoft Office applications to include Access. Must have understanding of database structures and relationships. A high expectation of respect for confidential information is consistently monitored. A minimum of an Associate's Degree in computer technology or 3 years or more of related experience expected.
First New York FCU is seeking a PC Technician who will setup, install, repair and maintain PC workstations and peripherals. The candidate will also be responsible for software installs, updates and patches. Candidate should be knowledgeable in PC and printer repair and maintenance. Good diagnostic and problem-solving ability, along with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions and documentation expected. Will provide first level response to trouble tickets and calls, administer end-user support and assistance, make recommendations for efficiencies and improvements and coordinate inventory, maintenance and repair of all related hardware equipment. May assist in off-hour support and maintenance. Preferred A+ certification, able to lift at least 40 lbs and have a clean driver’s license.
Mortgage Loan Originator
First New York Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator for our mortgage department located in Colonie. The MLO will proactively solicit new residential mortgage business and sell Credit Union mortgage products, while at all times striving to achieve loan quality and meeting goals. A business referral network must be developed through a commitment of outreach utilizing marketing, cold-calling, and networking activities. Meeting with prospective borrowers will be required to include reviewing and analyzing credit and financial data, determining borrowers financing objectives, presenting appropriate products, providing pricing, locking in a rate and submitting completed loan applications for loan processing. Will be expected to provide an exceptional member experience by overseeing the loan process from origination to close with continual communication with members and business partners. Compliance with all Federal and State Mortgage Regulations will be expected.
Three to four years of residential mortgage lending experience and a Bachelor’s degree required. Must have or be willing to obtain a NYS Mortgage Originator License and have a valid driver’s license. The MLO will be expected to work independently with limited supervision, also in a team environment, be detail oriented and possess excellent oral and written presentation skills.
